[birdky] Re: Plural of Titmouse

The Dictionary of American Bird Names - Choate, states titmouse comes from 
tittr, meaning anything small and mase, which is an early Anglo-Saxon name for 
small birds. Thus the true plural should be titmouses, but due to confusion 
with mouse, titmice is in common usage. So you can go either way;o)
