I recently had occasion to once again puzzle over the the plural of
titmouse. Since that time I
have discovered that other birders have the same problem. One used titmice
and another used
titmouses.
I have decided to use the same spelling for both singular and plural. Sorta
like sheep, not sheeps.
Is there an authority out there?
