I birded the Ohio River along with a few other areas this morning and afternoon
outside of coots mallards and great blue herons
I saw the following.
Falls observation area:
gadwall-66
wigeon-6
bald eagle-1 mature
Ashland Park Area:
red breasted mergs.-130+ in a raft
lesser scaup-6
bufflehead-2
horned grebes- 80
pied bill grebes-5
Big 4 Bridge:
horned grebe- 200+
pied bill grebe-3
Captain Quarters
Bald Eagle 1- mature 1- immature perched in a tree for a short time
horned grebe-1
pied bill grebe-1
Mayfair Ponds
gadwall-3
pied bill grebes-2
Quarry off Old Heady Rd.

coots- 125
ring necks- 75
