[birdky] October birding...

My friend and I have a week of vacation planned around October 4-11th, and
we're talking about two options.  We love to camp and hike, so one option is
the Smoky Mountains...another option might be Western Kentucky.  Is that a
good time to bird the Western Kentucky area, and if so, what spots might we
want to check out?  Is Land-between-the-Lakes a good "home base" for that
area?
