[birdky] Nolin paddle

Yesterday we put the kayaks in below the Nolin Dam and took out at Houchins Ferry. The book said "a good current on the Nolin River" so we expected a free ride until we hit the Green River. The water was pretty much dead, so it was paddle, paddle the whole 10 miles. I'm looking forward to a spring trip when more birds are singing.

Vireos- only Red-eyed and White-eyed

Warblers- Northern Parula, Yellow-throated, Cerulean, Louisiana Waterthrush (abundant, but not singing much), Kentucky, Common Yellowthroat, Hooded, and Yellow-breasted Chat

Birding smiles. . . . .
