Late Sunday afternoon we saw a half dozen Nighthawks pass over in one group.
This morning when I first got up, I went out and listened for a while to 2
Horned Owls calling back and forth in the front yard. I couldn't see them but
they sounded like they were within 50 feet of where I was standing. Every now
and then a 3rd, more distant owl would join in.
