I retired the end of 2016 and we moved from Central City in Muhlenberg County
to Independence in kenton County Ky mid January. I am only feeding black oil
seed on the ground at the moment. Right now my most common sparrow is the
American Tree Sparrow (which never came to my old feeder). Once again I have
male red winged black birds but no females. The male towhee I heard in the
back of the lot in the woods has now shown up for the free lunch. Yesterday
morning I heard a phoebe and this morning I saw two.
We really miss the rails to trails between CC and Greenville
