[birdky] Need identification help

On the roof outside my window, I saw an adult bird that I thought was a white-breasted nuthatch feeding a young bird. By the time I grabbed my camera, only the young bird was left, and I could not decide if I had seen a nuthatch or a chickadee.
Can anyone help? I'm sorry the photos do not contain a better profile. Hence my problem. Plus my inexperience. :)
