[birdky] More yard sightings

This morning we had two Scarlet Tanagers, a Tennessee Warbler, and a Wild
Turkey in the yard. I mention the turkey because it was such a surprise. Only
the second time in 29 years that we've had one right in the backyard. It seemed
startled and flew off almost immediately, causing a great stir among the jays.

A Snowy Egret flew over my head when I was down on the lakefront around 7 a.m..
With it was a bird that must have been a Little Blue Heron--they were flying
side by side and were almost exactly the same size. The gray-blue bird was a
uniform color. I couldn't see any markings, and I couldn't see its legs. The
Snowy was a definite ID.

Yesterday a Wood Thrush was singing in a patch of woods about a block from our
house.

Happy Spring!
