I don't monitor the Cincinnati listserve enough, but apparently there was a
male Oldsquaw at Meldahl Dam on or about February 21st. Also, a White-winged
Scoter on the Ohio River at Rabbit Hash, Boone Co. on February 9th.
Locally, I finally saw Chipping Sparrows (at least 3) at our feeding station
in eastern Jefferson County on Sunday. There were at least 8 on our farm in
mid-December, but I guess the recent ice storm finally covered up their seed
source and forced them to come in with the local junco flock.
