[birdky] Minor Clark Fish Hatchery - Sanderling

I visited the fish hatchery this morning from 8:30 until 12:30. While there I had the pleasure of meeting Steve Sweeney and Neil Smith from Adams Co, OH.

Overall it was a slow morning. When I first started the shorebirds were in Pond #56. Later in the morning they moved to pond #16 and a few in #15. The best bird was a Sanderling in Pond #15 that appeared around 10:30. He remained there for quite awhile but flew off with some Killdeer and did not return to that pond or #16. He still may be in one of the other ponds.

Shorebirds:
White-rumped Sandpiper (again he spent time up against the rocks and did blend in well when away from them)
Western Sandpiper (I'm pretty sure that it was him again but I didn't see him when I left.....I'll check my images)
Least Sandpipers
Semipalmated Plovers
Semipalmated Sandpipers
Killdeer
Sanderling

I also saw a one female American Wigeon duck with some of the mallards.

I'll post the Sanderling images and hopefully better White-rumped images later this afternoon.
