[birdky] Minor Clark Fish Hatchery 11/12/05

I decided to make one more trip to the fish hatchery as it was such a
beautiful day Saturday. There are only a couple of small ponds that are
still filled with water and most of the drained ponds are dry.

The highlights of the trip were:

8 American Pipits
9 Wilson's Snipes
3 Least Sandpipers
Killdeer
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Cedar Waxwings
Eastern Phoebe
1 Gadwall (Male)
1 Great Egret
15+ Great Blue Herons
Swamp Sparrow
Field Sparrow
Song Sparrows
White-throated Sparrows
Northern Flicker

Of course there were the birds usually found there such as Mallards, Canada
Geese, etc. I did not see the Peregrine Falcon this time....but the birds
were ever so skittish so I figure that he's still around. There were so few
shorebirds there this year that I have to feel he's definitely made his
presence known!!!

I've added some more images of the Wilson's Snipe, American Pipit, and Swamp
Sparrow.
