I spent a few hours at McConnell Springs this morning and it looks like things
are starting to pickup. I started the morning spotting a bright red Scarlet
Tanager. This is the first time I have ever seen one of these. I tried to get
a photo but he was too fast. These are definitely brilliant birds. Another
interesting sighting was a pair of Red-bellied woodpeckers that were protecting
their nest from a starling. I am not sure what the starling wanted but they
were going at it for awhile. Here is the only picture that I got of this
action...

I also got some pretty good shots of the Red-bellied's...

I also saw / heard...
House Wren
Lots of Goldfinches
Black and White Warbler - I believe
Female Baltimore Oriole - I believe
Finally, I saw these two birds which I can't 100% ID. If you can ID these
birds, please let me know...
