[birdky] Maryland eastern shore

while visiting family this weekend, went to the Blackwater NWR near Cambridge,
Md. birds counts were surprisingly low. it may be that the warmish weather we
have been having has let them loiter further north than usual.
species seen were canada and snow geese, tundra swan, pintails, shovelers and
black duck. lots of harriers and red tails, bald eagle. the most interesting
thing was the Delmarva fox squirrel which weights around 2lbs and is a really
big squirrel.
also, they have managed to get rid of the nutria which were really destroying
the habitat.
