[birdky] Mammoth Cave walks

Janet and I walked a couple of trails yesterday afternoon, and I had a chance
to get in a couple more this morning.

We had good numbers of yellow-throated vireos, fewer white-eyed and red-eyed
vireos; hooded, black-throated green, worm-eating, parula, yellow-throated,
black-and-white, yellow-rumped, Kentucky warblers; ovenbirds, L. waterthrushes;
also scarlet tanagers, wood and Swainson's thrushes. Also acadian and
great-crested flycatchers down by the river. Both sharp-shinned and Cooper's
hawks were out yesterday.
My FOS scarlet tanager was a bright male first thing this morning. He hadn't
completely molted yet, so he was bright crimson with a large green flank patch.

There was a beautiful pair of red bats feeding over the upstream end of Echo
River Spring yesterday evening at dusk.
