[birdky] Magoffin County Arrivals

Since my report over the weekend, the following have been sighted:

3 pairs of RBGs-up from just a couple a few days ago. They do just "sit
around" the feeders, deferring only to the Red Bellied and the cowbirds.
They seem so "tame" I wonder if they reside near humans at the other end of
their migration.

3 female roughed grouse on the front lawn today

Several Scarlet Tanagers

Brown thrashers

Wood thrush-at last!

Indigo Bunting

I am ashamed to have left one of our most faithful birds off of the report
this past weekend. Phoebes remain around this property all year long and
continually "check in" at the windows. Their nest is on a drain line under
the balcony of the end of our home. Other, perhaps unusual, residents 12
months of the year here include towhees and bluebirds.

What might the "small light green bird with black wings" be that my wife
spotted briefly during a recent hike? I suggested female Scarlet Tanager
but she said this was too small for a tanager.
