We have completed the 2008 MAPS season (Monitoring Avian Productivity and
Survivorship) at Clarks River National Wildlife Refuge. It was a successful
year with mostly nice mornings and an above average capture rate.
We captured 157 birds over the season with 58 of them being recaptures.
Our top captures this year were:
Acadian Flycatcher - 34
Kentucky Warbler - 26
Indigo Bunting - 14
Thanks to all who helped in this years efforts. A special thanks goes to
the Clarks River National Wildlife Refuge for the support and continuation of
this important MAPS station.
