I dropped in to check out the reservoirs late yesterday afternoon. Species
pretty much the same as had been seen on the outing the day before but with a
greater number of gulls. The event of the day was to have a Coopers fly over
and towards the gulls flying around. The gulls were not bothered by it and as
it flew past it grabbed one. The predator and prey tumbled towards the water.
Obviously it was too big for the Coopers who let go about a foot above the
water and flew back to the trees. The gull survived and flew on a bit wiser
about Coopers Hawks.
