[birdky] Lexington CBC

Hi all,

7 of us (led by Dr Wayne Davis) did a Christmas bird count around south Lex=
ington yesterday, mostly around Jacobsen Park and the Golf Course. The gr=
ey and wet weather didn't help, but we did see some good stuff, highlight=
s being;

2 pileated woodpeckers
1 male common goldeneye
10 hooded mergansers
1 bufflehead
1 horned grebe
WT, WC, swamp sparrow

The common goldneye was a real beauty, first time I've seen one here. Funny=
 to see pileated woodpeckers in suburban Lexington too!

Cheers
Ian
