This update is current as of October 20, 2003 at 6:00 PM EDT. The highlights of this update are On the 10th Sandhill Cranes were seen in the Murray area. On the 12th Dark-eyed Juncos were seen in the Jefferson Memorial Forest. They were also seen on the 12th in the rough river area. GLOSSY IBIS were viewed on the 12th on Meng's Pond in Warren CO. A 13th outing in the Louisville area listed summer hold outs, wintering birds, and passer-bys: BROWN CREEPER, WINTER WREN, GOLDEN-CROWN KINGLET, LINCOLN SPARROW, CATBIRD, WHITE-EYED VIREO, ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, TENNESSEE WARBLER, and BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER. A WHIP-POOR-WILL was identified on the 15th in NW Grayson county. The Henderson Sloughs Trip on the 18th had the following highlights: MARSH, and SEDGE WRENS, LEAST, and AMERICAN BITTERNS, KING RAIL, BALD EAGLE, MERLIN, and LECONTE'S SPARROW. The SELASPHORUS female hummingbird, first seen on the 12th, is still being seen in Bowling Green on the 19th. 3 HORNED GREBE were located at the Minor Clark fish Hatchery along with PRAIRIE, and PINE WARBLERS. In the Peabody WMA the list included DUNLIN, TREE SWALLOWS, BORWN CREEPER, SEDGE WREN, BELL'S VIREO, VESPER SPARROW, and NELSON'S SHARP-TAILED SPARROW.
