Society.  This update is current as of October 8, 2003 at 12:30 PM EDT.
The highlights of this update are:
 
Highlights of the KOS fall meeting in Henderson included: King and
Virginia rails, Sora, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Winter, Sedge, and Marsh
Wrens, Lincoln's, Vesper, and White-throated Sparrows, Short-eared Owls,
Merlin, and Bald Eagles. Total species count was at least 104.
 
On the 5th a Kuttawa an adult Lesser Black-backed gull was observed.
Other gull in the Land between the lakes area included Franklin's at Ky
Dam and Jonathon creek, 1 1st winter Laughing Gull at Ky Dam, along with
Bonaparte's. 40 plus Forster's Tern were noted at Jonathon creek as
well.
 
The highlight in shorebirds was American Golden Plover on Blood River on
the 6th. Numerous warblers are still being seen about the state, but in
dwindling numbers.
