This update is current as of June 3, 2003, 11:30 AM, EDT. The highlights of this update are: May 27 - June 3 AN ADULT WHITE-WINGED DOVE HAS BEEN SEEN IN THE BACKYARD OF 412 CENTER St. BEREA, KY. THE RICKETTS SAY "Birders are welcome , but will have to park on the street & walk in. Go to the gate on the right side of the house & help yourselves to seats either level of the deck. If the dog is in the yard come to the front door. If we are not here the dog will be inside. Call first if you wish." THEIR NUMBER IS 859-986-4146 Numerous Mississippi Kite were seen in Fulton Co., including one on nest. Also located there were Black-necked Stilt, and Least Tern. The Bourbon Co. Scissor-tailed Flycatcher is still in the Stringtown road area. Also seen in this area were Bobolink. Bobolink were also seen in Masterson station park just west of Lexington where they have nested for several years. A Gray-cheeked Thrush was seen in the Lexington cemetery, as well as one Chestnut-sided Warbler on Sunday May 31. A Loggerhead Shrike was seen I mile south of Millersburg on hwy 68.
