Eddie and I went to Joe Creason Park this morning. The woods were filled with
bird song. Hightlights of our trip include:
Wood Duck (heard)
Great Crested Flycatcher
Acadian Flycatcher (heard)
White-eyed vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Warbling Vireo
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Cedar Waxwings
a male and female Blue-winged Warbler
Tennessee
Nashville
Northern Parula
lots of Yellow-rumped warblers
Black-throated Greens
Palm Warbler
Ovenbird (heard)
Northern Waterthrush (heard)
Blue-gray gnatcatchers
numerous white-throated sparrows
Indigo buntings
It is so nice to hear and see returning migrants. I love Spring!
