[birdky] Jan. 7

A stop at Cooley's Pond today found a very early or very late male Blue-winged
Teal. There were hunters at the main pond, so little else was there until after
they left, then 7 Mute Swans dropped in.

Palm Warbler 1 (along Mystic View Rd.)
A gorgeous, near albino Red-tailed Hawk, which had just two red tail feathers
and some dark feathering around its face.
4 Sandhill Cranes were in almost the same spot in the corn field where I had
seen 5 on Dec. 27.

Lots of Canada Geese at Conley Bottom. I've been seeing a few with orange
collars and white letters; this one had a white collar with black letters X78V.

Horned Grebe- 49 Lake Cumberland, Russell County from Rowena Road.

Birding smiles. . . . .
