[birdky] Henderson Sloughs

I did a drive by today at the Sloughs:

Broken overcast
53º
The warm rain had quit and a cold front was starting to come in with a north wind. 

Wood Tract:

North of 268 mostly ice, but melting with some open water appearing:
Mallards
Shovelers
Am. Widgeons
~ 15 Ring-billed Gulls
1 Herring Gull (according to Brainard a second year bird), (a first for me at the Sloughs) 
N. Harrier

South of 268 seen among, and over, the corn:
Mallards
Greater White-fronted Geese
Canada Geese
Snow Geese (White, Blue, & intermediates)
Tundra Swans: 3

Anderson Pond lots of ice
Mallards

between Anderson Pond and Wood Tract
2 adult Bald Eagles
> 75 Turkeys

On powerlines in the area: Kestrels
