[birdky] Granville Carey

So sorry to hear about Granville, he was certainly a class act and will be
missed. I actually thought of Granville when I first sent out emails to N. KY
birders the morning I first spotted the recent Black Scoter, but thought better
of it, as I didn't want to be responsible for sending him out in the cold - as
he appeared to be in failing health the last few times I had run into him.
Nevertheless, he saw the posting and was one of the first to go out to see the
bird - as usual! I see that he was still birding on the 19th, just 2 days
before his death - a testament to his determination to stay active in his
retirement.
