I just happened on to an interesting video posted on the front page of daily
kos . It showed a Goshawk in slow motion flying through various shaped small
openings. First a circle about a foot across, then a horizontal slit about 6
inches wide, then a vertical slit of the same width, then a long tubular
opening. In each case, the hawk could fold its wings and orient its body to
conform to the opening and glide right on through without ruffling a feather.
