[birdky] Golden Eagles and Cape May Warbler

A Golden Eagle was observed along the Western Ky.
Parkway on December 16 while I was enroute to
participate in the LBL count. It was present near the
42-43 mile markers and in the same area where I saw
one a few years ago. A Golden Eagle was also seen
from below Barkley Dam by Hap Chambers, Melissa Easley
and myself later that morning.

Highlights seemed to be generally lacking with low
numbers of gulls at the dams and heat distortion due
to the warm air temperatures in the afternoon
rendering scrutiny of the mid-lakes rafts of divers
impossible.

The best bird of the day for my area was a Cape May
Warbler which I photographed near the 68-80 bridge on
Barkley.
