Debi - I don't know much about golden eagles, but based upon winter range
maps for goldens in the Appalachians, it is very possible for your bird to
show up around Cave Run Lake. However, I think there are more goldens
around than we are aware, so it is just as likely to be a different bird.

Scott mentioned the Golden on a camera set up with the carcass.. would this
be the setup to see about the Golden I see here in the Greenup Co
stripmines?? How big is the boundary for one?? I know by car from here to
Cave Run it takes about an hour to get there..so surely by air it wouldn't
be that far??
Any ideas? I haven't seen ours for awhile, but my hubby and daughter did a
couple weeks ago.
