Five Minute Backyard Bird Count
Just out of curiousity, I went out on my deck yesterday and decided to count the species of birds I see.  In only five minutes I had seen 14 species!!!! I am so glad that I get so many in my yard.  (I have seen more species than that amount in my yard, but over time)   I was really shocked that I saw 14 in almost the time it took me to write them down.
 
 
And the prize sighting in the 5 minute bird count was.... drum roll please....
 
Pileated Woodpecker!  Oh he was just gorgeous!!!
