Finally the Ohio River is down low enough to provide some habitat for migrating shorebirds. There were 7 species of shorebirds in fair numbers at Wave Rock. If you don't know Wave Rock, it's the exposed rock seen immediately across the river from the lower eddy which is west of the Interpretive Center.
