We birded the riverfront in Jeffersonville, IN to the Falls of the Ohio to the lake behind the Holiday Inn in Clarksville to the George Rogers Clark homestead from 6:00 to about 7:15 pm. Highlights include one Great Egret at the roost just east of the hydroelectric plant, a raft of about 40 Bonaparte Gulls just below the upper dam, Purple Martins and Chipping Sparrows. Other birds seen: Canada Geese Mallard Ring-necked Duck Lesser Scaup Bufflehead - raft of about 40 Common Goldeneye Hooded Merganser Pied-billed Grebe Double-crested Cormorant Great Blue Heron Great Egret Black-crowned Night Heron Turkey Vulture Peregrine Falcon - a pair American Coot Bonaparte Gull Ring-billed Gull Rock Pigeon Mourning Dove Purple Martin Carolina Wren American Robin Northern Mockingbird European Starling Chipping Sparrow Song Sparrow Northern Cardinal Red-winged Blackbird Common Grackle House Finch House Sparrow Tom and Colleen Becker
