[birdky] FW: Fund support info.

 Hi all:
The Whooping Cranes are once again on their way South. We have been
contacted by the Operation Migration Team once again for support while
in KY (please see message below). The KY Dept. of Fish and Wildlife
Resources will be helping with some costs this year, but I think any
contributions you can make will be helpful. If you can help, please go
to the website below and click on "becoming a MileMaker" for details.

Saving an endangered species does not happen without cost, and while the
OM Team has the will and the skill, we can not do it without you. It is
your support that makes it happen.

In our website Field Journal, entry #1 for October 21st
<http://operationmigration.org/Field_Journal.html> , we posted a photo
representation of the status of MileMaker 2006. We are still less than
halfway toward being able to meet the costs of leading the Class of 2006
to their Florida wintering ground.

We have always been able to depend on contributions from people like you
to cover the expenses of migration. We are grateful to the many who so
quickly and so generously responded to our Will We Run Out Of Gas? email
appeal last year, and we are asking you once again to help us pull off
this our 6th annual trek south.

As of the moment, we still need to raise $134, 930. This is the total
cost of the 655 as yet un-sponsored miles we need to cover on the '06
ultralight-led migration.

Would you be one of the 655 people to kick in $206 and sponsor a mile?
Or perhaps $51.50 or $103 for a quarter or half mile? Contributions of
ANY size will help us get there and all gifts will be greatly
appreciated.

Sincerely,

The OM Team
