[birdky] FALLS & PEABODY 23 February 2004

I have gone to the Falls of the Ohio many, many times and always birds were
present. Sometimes a lot, sometimes only a few. Yesterday morning while I
was there NO birds could be found on the rocks or the wall. A few Mallards
huddled next to the IN shore above the visitor center and a handful of
Mallards and Canadas could be seen next to Shippingport Island. A dozen
Canvasback Ducks and a pair of Hooded Mergansers were on the IN side above
the dam.
Peabody WMA was much better.
