Yesterday, 4/25, I was driving home on Lawson Holler Rd and heard my first
blue-winged warbler of the season. I was happy to say the least. Whiel
driving past my great-aunt's house, I see 2 Great Egrets in her pond. I have
never seen Great Egrets in Elliott County. I tried to get a photo, but her dog
started barking and they flew. I got a really blurred pic. It was exciting!
Also my first Chimney Swifts of the year. When I got home, 2 male and 1
female Scarlet Tanager showed up in my yard. My hummingbird made a late
evening stop at the feeder. It was a good evening.
Today, I heard and saw Prairie Warbler and my first black and white warbler
for the year. The storm is getting really close, so for now
