[birdky] Eagle Watch at Cave Run

Six hardy souls, with coats, gloves and hats braved the chill to see the eagles
at Cave Run. We did not see any around the nests but was successful is
spotting at least 5 birds. We saw 3 adults and 2 immature from the beach
area.
The new nest is intact and looks fine, however the older nest across from the
beach seems to have some issues. I was not able to locate it and fear it has
fallen. I hope to take a closer look when the light is better.
There were quite a few ducks on the lake, mostly mallard with a few hooded
merganser and bufflels in the mix. Many gulls and lots of ice tinkling in the
lake as if it were a glass of water...All in all, a perfect day!
