My indoor/outdoor thermometer is mounted on the north side of the house. It
read minus 5 degrees this morning. It was colder than that here last
Saturday morning, the 18th. On that morning it read minus 10. The TV
temperature maps showed Dot as being at near the very center of last
Saturday's
cold air mass, while this morning's cold air mass looked like it was
centered over the junction of the Wabash and Ohio Rivers. So Falls of the
Rough, where Joyce lives, would be closer to the middle of the cold air mass
than Louisville, where Brainard lives.
