[birdky] Doubting Thomas

Had a message from Brainard Palmer-Ball questioning the accuracy of my
thermometer. I also have another thermometer posted at the lower house
300/400 ft across the yard and it reads 1,2, 3 degrees lower than the one at 
the upper house. I checked with my sister Mary this morning and
she had minus 10 degrees F this morning. Her thermometer is located on the 
east side of her house while my two thermometers are mounted on the North 
side of the houses.I've lived at this location for 25 years and
as I mentioned in my post a few days ago the only place colder in the area 
has been Tousey, Ky. on occasion. I invite Brainard or anyone else
to come and set up a temperature monitoring station at my place. There
is a 2 inch snow cover on the ground and there was no wind this morning. The 
only time I find a similar temperature reading between
the Louisville area and Short Creek is when there is enough wind to mix
the air. I suspect Brainard has his thermometer mounted amongst those big
