I failed to mention that Brian and I also had a flock of 100-150 Snow Geese in
a field a little farther north from KY 86, northeast of the fire station. We
only saw them get up briefly into flight once, so we couldn't determine if
there was anything else with them. These birds are certainly part of last
week's flight that many folks noticed.
I also failed to mention that we enjoyed an hour or so of unexpected bright
sunshine, a welcome break from what seems like a month of dreary, gray days
