What a wonderful treat on a wet, cold morning! The sun was just trying
to come through the fog when I heard a new warbler song coming through
the open sliding glass door in our bedroom. I grabbed my binoculars and
saw a CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER singing from a limb of the large elm tree
just beyond the deck. We have them in the Fall, but without the bright
breeding plumage and the territorial song. Great!! BTW, the
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKS are still here and in larger numbers.
Cheers,
Joan Carr
