May 12th
Rhonda and I tallied I believe 14 Grasshopper Sparrows on last weeks
bird count in Pulaski county.
May 13th
We had 4 Bobolinks in bourbon county where the Scissor-tailed was a few
years ago.
May19th
The only migrants noted at Raven's Run were 3 redstarts, but we were
toting 3 lovable but noisy kids.
May 20th
A 8-9 mile walk in the Zilpo area of Daniel Boone National Forest
included either sight or sound of 9 Ceruleans, 3 Redstarts, 1 Tennessee,
1 Blackpoll, and 1 Bald Eagle soaring very high. Lacking in the area
were Wood Thrush, and Black-throated Green, and only 1 Pine Warbler was
heard.
