The Kentucky Bluebird Society (KBS) meeting is this Saturday, May 27, 2006.
The event is co-sponsored by KBS and Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park

The meeting will begin at the KDVSRP Main Lodge Meeting Room near the front
lobby at 1 pm. Indoor presentations will begin the activities with special
guests including Dr. Wayne Davis, Dr. David Pitts and Paul Busse presenting
topics including bluebirds, Carolina wrens and the new KBS live cam bluebird
box respectively. Ed Ray, KBS VP and Education Director will share his session
on the KBS award winning Outdoor Classroom Enrichment Program (OCEP) for
Kentucky schools with teachers and students requested to attend and briefly
highlight their school?s OCEP activities. The Kentucky Association For
Environmental Education (KAEE) recognized KBS with its KAEE 2005 Award For
Excellence in environmental education for the OCEP program. As part of OCEP,
KBS provides up to five free bluebird boxes to all Kentucky schools wishing to

presented to KBS for the OCEP program will be available for
participants to see. A raffle and door prize drawing will be held for a new
KBS live cam bluebird box and other bluebird items. Outdoor activities will
begin at about 4 pm with a short hike along KDVSRP?s new bluebird trail to
check the nesting boxes for bluebirds while discussing how to help bluebirds.
A special surprise nest will be featured during a field trip involving a short
hike.
The public is invited to join KBS to celebrate Kentucky bluebirds and
discover how to help and enjoy an outstanding wildlife species. There is no
