A HOT paddle around newly exposed mud on Blood River yielded nice looks at a
flock of young Western Sandpipers. Highlights are listed below.

DC Cormorant - 4
Great Egret - 18
Great Blue Heron - 10
Little Blue Heron - 1
Green Heron - 5
Bald Eagle - 1 Adult
Killdeer - 87 It looks like a Killdeer convention out there
Solitary Sandpiper - 2
Spotted Sandpiper - 12
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 2
Western Sandpiper - 19
