[birdky] BirdKy: A great day to be birding

Migrants seemed to be everywhere today in our yard and in our "wilderness"
area right below our home - Eastern Wood-Pewees, Swainson's and Gray-cheeked
Thrushes, Catbirds, Brown Thrasher, White-eyed, Yel.-throated, Warbling,
Philadelphia, and Red-eyed Vireos. Eleven species of warblers were located:
Golden-winged (the prettiest one we've seen this season), Nashville,
Chestnut-s.,
Magnolia, Redstart, Black-thr. Green, Blackburnian, No. Waterthrush, C.
Yellowthroat, Wilson's and Canada. Fall Warblers are such delightful
resplendent, active b
irds. Also seen today were Rose-br. Grosbeaks and Indigo Buntings.

A rat snake curled up in a honeysuckle bush in our yard got the birds all
atwitter. It was great to see redstarts, magnolias, chestnut-sided warblers and
thrushes giving the snake a piece of their mind.

Enjoy the great outdoors,
Pat and Jane Bell
Eastern Jefferson County
