Four e. screech-owls in three creekside locations (2 individuals and a pair
calling back and forth) and a barred owl calling were the highlights.
Warblers were mostly black-throated greens of varying ages, plus Nashville,
black-and-white, magnolia, Am. redstart, yellow-rumped. Also: ruby-crowned
kinglet; Philadelphia, blue-headed, and white-eyed vireos; 3 gray-cheeked
thrushes and a wood thrush eating wild grapes.
4:30-7:00 pm along Harrison Fork road. (Exit 112, I-65, then east along
245(?) a few miles into Nelson Co.)
