[birdky] Bathing Birds

For some reason around noon  today several birds were  taking a bath  
simultaneously.  A house finch was in the tray of  flower pot; a white-throated 
sparrow was in a small birdbath; robins were in our  large 4 foot round bird 
bath 
who are very energetic bathers!  And new  to the bird bath were 5 cedar 
waxwings who drank, had a quick bath and  left.  Also new this year was a 
pileated 
woodpecker who drank from a  garbage can lid which I keep on the ground for 
water.
