Betty and I have observed this nest just east of Barkley Dam since late January
and there has been one on the nest and another one in a nearby tree everytime
we have checked them.
The Ospreys have built a nest on the same steel electric pole just east of
Barkley Dam where they nested last year and one is on the nest most of the time.
The water in the lakes is very high. Water covers part of old 62 between old
Kuttawa and and where it runs into the present HIghway 62. Neither one of the
dams have any gates open so with all the rain they apparenty intend that the
lakes will rise.

The bald eagle nest below barkley dam had a mature bird sitting upon
the side of the nest
and another mature bird perched even higher in the nest tree. Only had
binoculars but a
scope might reveal more. bpb, can you or anyone else out there provide
more info on the current status?
