[birdky] BKY: Swainson's warbler

Hap and I were paddling in the back creeks of Blood River this morning and heard a Swainson's warbler. It sang off and on for about an hour, but we were never able to see it. There is good habitat with patches of cane growing on the creek banks. At least four cottonmouths were keeping us company . Plunging into the undergrowth to locate the bird was not an option.

Two adult bald eagles were perched in the cypress trees. And a very, very white breasted cormorant (must have been a first year) was sunning itself on a snag.

P.S. I had an adult rose-breasted grosbeak at my feeder May 24. It had been over a week since I saw them.
