[birdky] BKY: RFI -- Digital replacement for Coolpix 995

I see from shopping some web sites that the Nikon Coolpix 995 has been
discontinued.  This makes me wonder if I should purchase a discontinued item
(future tech/parts support difficulties) from a source that still has them
or just avoid the 995 for this reason.  Also, is anyone aware of a Nikon
"replacement" for the 995 that would be the purchase of choice for
digiscoping??
