[birdky] BKY: Misc.

This morning I watched as a Tufted Titmouse gathered hair and flew off with it.
If it was finishing
up a nest it's getting a late start. Also had a Philadelphia Vireo and
Rose-breasted Grosbeak in the
yard.

I had a report from a birder in Laurel County about a flock of 50+ birds that
he thought must have
been Rusty Blackbirds. He said they had a purplish sheen on the head, light
yellow eyes and did not
have the tail or look of a grackle.

Lake Cumberland has risen 12 feet with the recent rains; so shorebird habitat
has probably
disappeared.
